Houston has low sales with higher prices

Houston has higher prices, but abysmal sales

2009 price distributions for Houston real estate market
In real numbers, the lowest priced homes made gains in number of sales.  Every category from under $29,999 to $59,999 showed positive changes in real numbers of homes sold, except homes in the $30’s.  The largest gain was 8.24 percent for homes in the $50’s. Houston real estate market sales down for December, prices up

Houston real estate market’s price distribution through November
Houston’s home price distribution for 2009, minus December, shows the main pattern was no pattern.  The overall picture shows the loss of sales between 2008 and 2009.  There are several price points that experienced gains in their percentage of the market, as seen below. Homesales increase from 2008 in Houston real estate market
